QBI - Seminar

Multimorbidities and Polypharmacy in a Population-wide Disease Trajectory Perspective

QBI presents a seminar with Søren Brunak, Professor and Section Head at the Health Data Science & AI section at Department of Public Health at University of Copenhagen.

Dr. Brunak is a pioneer within the biomedical sciences by inventing and introducing new computational strategies for analysis of large biological data sets for use in biology, medicine and biotechnology. The impact of Brunak’s research is enhanced by his ability to combine scientific disciplines in novel ways and his multi-disciplinary approaches have led to advances in the understanding of the function of biological systems, and fundamentally improved the possibilities for control of disease via novel intervention strategies, and enhancement of health in general.

He is a member of the Royal Danish Academy of Sciences and Letters as well as the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and is heading up the new Health Data Science and AI section at Department of Public Health at University of Copenhagen. He is a serving member of a number of Scientific Advisory Boards, including UK Biobank and more recently, the UK Dementia Research Institute.
