Jenna Hall

Jenna Hall, PhD, is a Scientist of Genome Engineering and Automated Systems at the READY Center

Jenna earned her PhD in Stem Cell Biology and Disease Modelling from The University of Melbourne, the top ranked institution in Australia. Her doctoral research focused on patient-derived induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) models of age-related macular degeneration, employing high-content imaging and multi-omics approaches to uncover disease-associated phenotypes in retinal pigment epithelial cells.

Prior to her PhD, Jenna spent four years at the New York Stem Cell Foundation (NYSCF), where she specialized in large-scale mammalian tissue culture, process development, and computer vision models. There, she helped create and optimize high-throughput automated workflows for iPSC maintenance, differentiation, and phenotyping.

At the READY Center, Jenna is applying this expertise to build out automated platforms for stem cell culture and to scale CRISPR editing pipelines.

Outside of the lab, Jenna enjoys live music gigs, camping under the stars, and taking long walks with PiggyBac, her Brussels Griffon.
