11:00 AM-12:00 PM
QBI, HARC, and HPMI present a seminar with Jinwoo Ahn of the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Ahn’s research utilizes various bioanalytical and biophysical methods to investigate cellular processes at the molecular and atomic levels in relation to human disease. He employs molecular biology and protein biochemistry to obtain functionally active recombinant protein and protein complexes, and reconstitute those processes. His lab investigates protein-ligand and protein-protein interactions in important biological pathways to unravel the complex mechanisms associated with the disease. Dr Ahn is an Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh in the Department of Structural Biology.
Host: John Gross
Talk title: “The molecular basis of HIV Vpr and Vpx hijacking the ubiquitin proteasome pathway”
