The Quantitative Biosciences Institute (QBI) at UCSF presents "Scientific Collaborations Across Borders | Institut Pasteur & QBI: A New Set of Molecules to Combat Candida's Drug Resistance," a QBI Fireside Chat on July 11, 2023 at 10:30 AM PT, co-organized by the Office for Science and Technology of the French Embassy in San Francisco.

The goal of this conversation will be to highlight the synergy between Institut Pasteur and QBI UCSF by discussing the recent scientific paper co-authored by  Iuliana Ene of Institut Pasteur and Jason Sello of QBI UCSF, titled “Small molecules restore azole activity against drug-tolerant and drug-resistant Candida isolates”. The discussion will also underline how the collaborative foundation that has been built between QBI UCSF and Institut Pasteur serves as a catapult for such breakthroughs in science and helps scientists maintain productive partnerships beyond borders.

Panelists:
Iuliana Ene, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mycology at Institut Pasteur
Jason Sello, Professor in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry at UCSF

Moderator:
Emmanuelle Pauliac-Vaujour, Attachée for Science and Technology at the Consulate General of France in San Francisco
